Nepal

The oppression of religious minorities is becoming ever more widespread in Nepal.

Since the anti-conversion law came into force in 2017, their situation has become increasingly difficult. Discrimination and attacks in everyday life are on the increase.

CSI priorities

  • Educating members of religious minorities regarding basic rights and laws affecting their everyday life
  • Practical help for victims of persecution: shelter, medicines, first aid
  • Small business creation for the financial empowerment of minorities
  • Legal support for those persecuted for their faith
  • Support for a network of parliamentarians working for human rights
